This paper describes the data gathered for a published in Earth-Science Reviews (DOI: 10.1016/j.earscirev.2023.104339) to address problem of studies using incorrect equations calculate rainfall erosivity (R factor), which can lead issues related land degradation, soil productivity loss, and biodiversity loss. The aim was locate articles containing create relational database that could be used perform an in-depth analysis errors. Because search target is equation, it impossible directly query any literature contain R equations. Therefore, manual multiple databases conducted. Subsequently, broadened identify origin misuse equations, SQL (Structured Query Language) queries were formulated understand why errors continued persist minimum 33 years. resulting entity-relationship-based Microsoft Access determined valuable tool performing analysis. It add further suggested research should conducted determine extent impact these on erosion, ecosystems, environment.
